Oh my goodness! I am so sorry for not posting sooner! So much went on at once and so quickly! Let me catch you up to date!
Last I posted we were talking about adopting a dog.. it didn't go through because the people were taking FOREVER to get back to us. However, it was a blessing in disguise because a friend of mine had talked with me about her friend needing a home for her dog. A few days after hearing of this we went and picked him up. He is one of the funnest, coolest, most well behaved dogs I've ever seen! (Minus going on walks...he's SO strong!) His name is Caden and he is a black lab. He is 2ish years old and loves playing Frisbee! We've had him now for almost 2 months and he is a wonderful addition to our little family.
On Thursday, June 20th we drove to Florida with so much excitement! I was excited because my best friend Brittany was flying in from Japan and of course we were both excited because we only had a few days til we got married! I was freaking out... it had rained the day we got there and the following day. I woke up Saturday morning and asked Brittany how much it was raining and to our surprise it was SUNNY! I couldn't believe that was the last morning I was going to wake up as Miss Randall! I was freaking out because those that know me know that I like to have control. Getting married on a random beach and leaving it to other people to put together is NOT in any way a form of your own control. I was very nervous as we drove to the beach but anxious to see my soon to be husband! Dad walked me down the aisle and it was perfect. The set up was perfect, our family and friends being there was perfect, and standing before the man I was about to marry was perfect. The weather was beautiful at the ceremony went very well... WAY better than I expected. After the wedding we had to take Brittany back to the airport and boy was that hard. After the tears and hugs we went back to New Smyrna beach where Dustin's parents and family stay every summer. We had a beautiful lunch and celebrated with family and friends. That too, was perfect.
Last Saturday we had a "reception" at Dustin's parents. Looking back... not having an elegant wedding and reception many ask if we would have done anything different. This was so stress free and relaxed I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Having the reception at his parents and making it a "come and go as you please" type of party made it easier for Dustin and I to visit with all of our friends and family. The weather again was wonderful and the day was just amazing. We can't thank his parents and family and friends enough for helping pull everything together and for celebrating a perfect day with us. It was a day we will always remember.
I have had a little bit of time to decorate the house and thought I would share a few pictures! Hope you enjoy them!
