Catching up!

Oh my goodness! I am so sorry for not posting sooner! So much went on at once and so quickly! Let me catch you up to date!

Last I posted we were talking about adopting a dog.. it didn't go through because the people were taking FOREVER to get back to us.  However, it was a blessing in disguise because a friend of mine had talked with me about her friend needing a home for her dog.  A few days after hearing of this we went and picked him up.  He is one of the funnest, coolest, most well behaved dogs I've ever seen! (Minus going on walks...he's SO strong!) His name is Caden and he is a black lab.  He is 2ish years old and loves playing Frisbee! We've had him now for almost 2 months and he is a wonderful addition to our little family.

On Thursday, June 20th we drove to Florida with so much excitement! I was excited because my best friend Brittany was flying in from Japan and of course we were both excited because we only had a few days til we got married! I was freaking out... it had rained the day we got there and the following day.  I woke up Saturday morning and asked Brittany how much it was raining and to our surprise it was SUNNY! I couldn't believe that was the last morning I was going to wake up as Miss Randall! I was freaking out because those that know me know that I like to have control.  Getting married on a random beach and leaving it to other people to put together is NOT in any way a form of your own control.  I was very nervous as we drove to the beach but anxious to see my soon to be husband! Dad walked me down the aisle and it was perfect.  The set up was perfect, our family and friends being there was perfect, and standing before the man I was about to marry was perfect.  The weather was beautiful at the ceremony went very well... WAY better than I expected.  After the wedding we had to take Brittany back to the airport and boy was that hard. After the tears and hugs we went back to New Smyrna beach where Dustin's parents and family stay every summer.  We had a beautiful lunch and celebrated with family and friends. That too, was perfect.

Last Saturday we had a "reception" at Dustin's parents.  Looking back... not having an elegant wedding and reception many ask if we would have done anything different.  This was so stress free and relaxed I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.  Having the reception at his parents and making it a "come and go as you please" type of party made it easier for Dustin and I to visit with all of our friends and family.  The weather again was wonderful and the day was just amazing.  We can't thank his parents and family and friends enough for helping pull everything together and for celebrating a perfect day with us.  It was a day we will always remember.

I have had a little bit of time to decorate the house and thought I would share a few pictures! Hope you enjoy them!

Finished projects!!!

So many people have been asking when I am going to post pictures and update the blog... Well here it is!!! :)

Life has been very crazy! I have been wrapping up the school year and packing up my classroom. We've also been doing major work on the house! We have finished the living room, dining room, and kitchen! Yes, finished!!! We still have to do the bedrooms and bathrooms but they will be a summer project.

Dustin has been working and then heading to the house right after work. He is excited but I think I'm more excited!!

We have talked about adopting a ... Dog! Scared ya, huh?! We have found one we really like. She is a 1 year old, black lab and up to date on everything. She comes from a rescue place and is currently with a foster family. They are super slow on responding back and I'm getting very impatient!! I look at pictures of her a million times a day and I think I'm already attached to her! We will see what happens... Fingers crossed!!

I have had no luck in the job search department but am so excited to babysit a precious little baby this summer and also tutor a little girl. God had blessed me with so many things I know he has a great plan for me! :)

Dustin and I are getting married in 25 days and I can't wait! I know it will be a beautiful day on the beach spent with our very close family and a few friends.

Ok ok I'll get to the photos of the house!! :)

Let the transformation begin!

Welcome to our blog! Dustin and I thought it would be a great idea to start a blog and post pictures of everything happening in our lives. We hope you all enjoy!

Dustin and I got the keys to our house last week and it was the hardest and longest week ever! I couldn't wait to get in, start painting, and make it ours! I got to Ohio Thursday and Dustin and I went straight to stores to get paint! On our way to OUR house we were so excited! Pulling into our neighborhood was one of the most amazing feelings ever!! We walked in and it just didn't feel real! It still doesn't! We spent the evening painting the trim white, taking cabinets off the door, and taking pictures. His grandparents surprised us with an early wedding gift... Patio furniture!  We could not feel more blessed with the love and support from our families. We love you all and will never be able to thank you enough!

Friday Beth, Dustin's mom, and I continued painting the trim. Beth cleaned all of out the cabinets, refrigerator, and covered EVERYTHING in Clorox. His grandparents came and worked outside and D came later to help! It was so much work but a ton of fun.

Today I'm going with Sis and the kiddos to my grandma's for a late Mother's Day get together and my bridal shower. I'm so excited!!! Dustin is in his friends wedding and very busy with that today so we are away from the house :(  I can't wait to work on it more and get everything moved in and put away. This is something we've both wanted for so long and we cannot believe it's here!

We can't wait to continue this journey together and share it with all of you! Thanks to our family and friends for all of your love and support! :)
